I've visited here on a few occasions, as I have a cousin who lives nearby. Most recent visit was on 1/18/14, for dinner - party of 4. One additional note: the place is located *much* closer to Randolph than it is to Beaver Dam. It's approximately 2 miles east of Highway 73. The phone number indicates a Randolph exchange; not quite sure why the address is listed as Beaver Dam, when Beaver Dam is some 8-miles from this place. They modified the place a bit from my last visit; it used to be that you'd have to walk through the smoking area in order to get into the bar. That has changed - the smoking area now hangs off one end of the bar and features two doors for entry/exit. UNFORTUNATELY, the place reeks of smoke inside... those doors stay open and/or don't seal very well, because when I left, I left smelling of smoke. So much so, that my car smelled like smoke the next day. UGH. - Limited tap selection (4 brews on tap) - Limited bottled beer selection (primarily macro domestics) + Decent mixed drinks + Prices are reasonable + Excellent bar food - definitely a notch above the norm + Pizzas are wonderful - great crust, plenty of toppings, good flavor + Chicken sandwiches (grilled and fried, both) were decent; nice bakery-style bun + Good fries/sides + Nightly specials run the gamut - from tacos to Ribeye steak - Service was a tad slow/absent; seemed to wait a while between check-ins + Servers were friendly when they did stop-by + Met the owner Paul and found him to be extremely friendly and gracious - super nice guy - Very small bathrooms + Bathrooms were clean and well kept + Great jukebox/sound system + Plenty of televisions + Hosts contests of all sorts - from ice fishing to meat raffles to random drawings - Quite noisy inside; groups were extremely loud on multiple visits - No website; facebook only If this place wasn't so smoky, I'd be back to visit more often, even if it is some 45-miles from my home.
